Most would never say so to an employer. The silence around AI use The actual uses go well beyond resume writing. Most rely on AI to research positions and customize their materials, but 20% let it submit applications automatically on their behalf. One in ten says AI was feeding them prompts during a live interview. ChatGPT is the tool most reach for, used by nearly four in five AI-assisted job seekers. A majority (54.2%) say they'd never bring it up with an employer. Only about one in eight always discloses it. "In 2026, organizations are being flooded with resumes primarily created by AI.
