The newly allowed patent — “A Method for Classifying Segments of an Audio Stream of a Radio Program” — protects Auddia’s proprietary machine-learning system that:

Classifies every frame of a radio stream as music, talk, or commercial
Applies probabilistic correction to eliminate classification errors
Identifies song boundaries using overlapping-frame analysis
Determines matching songs with high precision
Detects transition points between songs and non-music content
