Located near San Antonio and connected within CPS Energy's service territory, the project is built entirely from repurposed electric vehicle batteries, demonstrating the value of second-life storage at utility scale. This is the second site in Texas where B2U has developed and equipped with its patented BESS cabinets with repurposed EV batteries. By giving these batteries a second life, B2U extends their useful value well beyond their time in vehicles, reducing waste and lowering the cost of grid storage.
