The socks also include circuit protection against overcharge and short circuits. The rechargeable ski gloves use a carbon-fiber and metal-wire heating system designed to provide fingertip heat in under five seconds. Battery runtime ranges from approximately three to eight hours depending on the selected heat level. The gloves feature 3M Thinsulate insulation, a waterproof-breathable shell, touchscreen-compatible fingertips and anti-slip palms. The heating system includes temperature control and fault detection features. The heated vest distributes six heating zones across the chest, back and collar, with separate controls for the individual zones. Its battery provides up to 13 hours of runtime when operating a single zone. The vest also uses 3M Thinsulate insulation and a wind-resistant shell and can be worn as a layer under or over an outer jacket. The sleeveless design is machine washable.
