The purpose of the scientific program is to determine whether the physical evidence can withstand scrutiny and distinguish that interpretation from a purely natural geological explanation. Failure to identify a bedrock boundary in the data processed so far does not by itself prove bedrock is absent, and radar anomalies alone do not prove an archaeological origin.
