According to Taylor Lane, Vice President and General Manager, Industrial Paper Packaging, North America, “This necessary increase is driven by several factors, including robust demand across our markets and strong utilization in our paper mill network. Additionally, elevated inflationary pressures have significantly increased our operating costs. We remain committed to delivering reliable supply and high-quality products, and this increase helps ensure we can continue to support our customers’ business effectively.” Sonoco also will increase prices for all converted paperboard products by 7%, effective with shipments on and after July 8, 2026. This includes paperboard tubes, cores, cones, partitions, protective packaging, and other specialty products.
