To Our Shareholders and Valued Supporters, SunHydrogen’s mission is to produce renewable hydrogen directly from sunlight and water through a system that can be manufactured, deployed, and operated economically at scale. Our future customers will measure success by how much hydrogen a complete system produces, how safely and reliably it operates, how long it lasts, and what that hydrogen ultimately costs. These are the measures guiding our work. We recognize the urgency behind shareholders’ questions about progress and timing. As Chief Technology Officer, my responsibility is to explain what we have demonstrated, what remains to be established, and how the work underway moves us toward commercialization. From Demonstrated Performance Toward a Repeatable Product We have demonstrated strong performance across progressively larger module sizes. SunHydrogen’s 100 cm² modules achieved active-area solar-to-hydrogen efficiencies (STH) above 10% in testing at Sparc Hydrogen and Honda R&amp;D. STH measures the percentage of incoming solar energy converted into chemical energy stored in hydrogen. Our 1,200 cm² modules achieved 9% active-area solar-to-hydrogen efficiency at the University of Tokyo, with performance remaining stable across the tested temperature range. During outdoor testing in Austin in July 2026 and Iowa in August 2026, multiple full-size 1.92 m² modules demonstrated peak active-area efficiencies approaching 9%, with one full-day test averaging 7% over the measured daylight operating period. Our next priority is to reproduce and sustain this performance across multiple modules and longer operating periods while establishing consistent manufacturing. Together, these advances will translate demonstrated performance into a reliable product and lasting customer value. What We Are Learning at the Austin Hydrogen ProtoHub The ProtoHub allows us to evaluate the modules, reactors, controls, gas-handling systems, and supporting equipment together under changing sunlight, temperature, wind, and weather. By the end of this year, the planned array is expected to include sixteen reactors, each housing one full-size 1.92 m² module, for more than 30 m² of total module area. We are advancing deployment deliberately and in stages: test a limited number of units, learn from the data, incorporate improvements, and then expand. During initial commissioning, the modules produced hydrogen, but they did not yet reproduce the performance previously achieved in controlled testing in Iowa and at partner facilities. As previously disclosed, we identified two important contributors: manufacturing variation that reduced module voltage and localized protective-coating degradation that allowed water to reach the semiconductor layer. We converted those observations into specific engineering actions. The team introduced revised semiconductor layouts and manufacturing procedures, strengthened catalyst integration and protective coatings, redesigned reactor housings for inclined operation, and expanded instrumentation and gas monitoring. Upgraded modules are now being evaluated alongside earlier-generation units in Austin, while parallel testing in Iowa provides a second environment in which to compare performance and accelerate learning. The remaining work is not about any one component in isolation. Temperature response, catalyst stability, semiconductor protection, fluid circulation, and gas management interact as a complete system. Reliable operation will depend on how consistently those elements perform together across multiple modules and over meaningful periods of time. Early results are encouraging. Our task now is to demonstrate that the gains persist across multiple modules, changing environmental conditions, and extended operation. Austin’s value lies in turning observations into corrective actions and then testing whether those actions deliver lasting improvement. That is how we turn technical performance into a credible path toward commercialization. Four Workstreams, One Commercial Objective Our development program advances through four complementary workstreams. Austin and Iowa: Reliable outdoor operation. We are building on the performance already demonstrated by our 1.92 m² modules in Austin and Iowa. Current testing focuses on sustaining hydrogen output and validating improvements in temperature management, durability, and overall system reliability. CTF Solar: Repeatable manufacturing. With CTF Solar, we are translating field findings into a controlled manufacturing process. More than 100 full-size 1.92 m² modules incorporating an improved absorber layout have been manufactured to support reproducibility and yield evaluation. The broader program’s near-term goal is to produce up to 1,000 full-size 1.92 m² modules. That volume is intended to support manufacturing qualification, durability and repeatability testing, and subsequent pilot and partner deployments, not a single 1,000-module installation. Production and allocation will depend on validation results and program needs. CTF also supports the fabrication needs of our higher-efficiency development objective with Honda R&amp;D. Honda R&amp;D: Higher efficiency at larger scale. While we await the execution of the joint development agreement (JDA) extension, our team continues to work with Honda R&amp;D on a next-generation architecture targeting active-area STH of 15% and higher. This objective is intended to improve hydrogen output and strengthen system economics rather than define a universal threshold for commercial viability. Our current CdTe-based full-size platform remains the foundation for outdoor validation and, subject to successful technical and economic validation, is intended to support initial commercial deployments. Each step in efficiency lowers the cost of the hydrogen produced and widens the set of markets the system can serve. The next-generation architecture is designed to build on the manufacturing and field experience already gained and extend that reach. Sparc Hydrogen: An additional commercial pathway. Our 24-month collaboration begins with laboratory testing under increasing solar concentration. Subject to agreed milestones, the program may advance to on-sun testing at Sparc Hydrogen’s SHARP facility in South Australia with a potential pathway to a module-supply or manufacturing-license agreement. Together, these workstreams address outdoor reliability, manufacturing repeatability, higher efficiency, and additional deployment pathways. What We Intend to Establish by Year-End Through December 31, 2026, our priorities center on the evidence needed to select the next full-size configuration and deployment stage. Repeatable full-size performance. Our objective is to compare sixteen 1.92 m² modules across changing outdoor conditions. We will evaluate the range and consistency of efficiency, hydrogen output, temperature response, and operating continuity. Integrated-system reliability. We intend to determine whether semiconductor protection, catalyst interfaces, reactor housing, thermal and fluid management, gas handling, instrumentation, and controls can sustain performance together over meaningful operating periods. Manufacturing consistency. With CTF Solar, we intend to quantify yield and module-to-module variation, identify remaining sources of inconsistency, and define a stable module and reactor configuration for the next multi-module or partner-led demonstration while also supporting the fabrication needs of Honda R&amp;D’s higher-efficiency development program. These objectives will guide the next deployment decision, while longer-term durability testing continues. Progress will depend on test results, module availability, and system readiness. Once sufficient operating data are available, we intend to publish a representative dataset covering hydrogen output, efficiency, durability, and consistency, and use those findings to update the deployment timeline. Our Path Forward In February, we stated our objective of positioning SunHydrogen to secure an initial offtaker within the coming year; in April, we described an initial customer as a near-term objective. Securing that first agreement remains a priority. We have not yet completed a customer or offtake agreement, and commercial engagement continues alongside technical validation. The Sparc Hydrogen program carries a potential pathway to a module-supply or manufacturing-license agreement, and other discussions continue as our full-size data matures. Our deployment path advances from repeatable full-size operation and controlled manufacturing to larger multi-module and partner- or customer-site demonstrations. Commercial discussions can progress throughout, with deployment commitments grounded in demonstrated performance, safety, manufacturing consistency, and economics. My confidence comes from the progress we can identify: larger modules operating outdoors, specific engineering improvements under evaluation, and manufacturing partners working toward repeatable production. We will move the work forward with urgency and sharpen the commercial timeline as results warrant.
