On 5 May 2026, the Reserve Bank of Australia raised the cash rate by 25 basis points to 4.35%, the third consecutive hike this year and one that has fully unwound the easing cycle of 2025. The Monetary Policy Board vote was split eight to one in favour of the increase. The next RBA Board meeting is scheduled for 15-16 June 2026.
