After payments, cars, and space, one expert argues this is the biggest, and possibly final, act in a career built on taking over industries. His free presentation explains what it means for investors.Baltimore, MD, Oct. 10, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Elon Musk has made a career out of entering industries and redefining them. According to tech analyst James Altucher, his move into artificial intelligence may be the one that tops them all, and the one that brings the whole arc together. In a new free presentation, Altucher argues this isn't just another Musk venture, but potentially the largest and most consequential move of his life. Bigger Than Everything Before It Altucher's case starts with scale. Each of Musk's past industry takeovers, he notes, was enormous in its own right. But this one, he argues in the presentation, is different in kind, not just degree. In his framing, Musk's AI plan is "bigger than Tesla, SpaceX, and X combined." That's a striking claim, Altucher acknowledges, given how large each of those companies became. But he argues it reflects the size of the prize. Payments, cars, and space were each massive industries. Artificial intelligence, in his view, is larger than all of them, which is why he believes a successful move into it would stand as the peak of Musk's career. The Last and Greatest Shift Part of what gives the moment its weight, Altucher argues, is the nature of the tech itself. He describes artificial intelligence in the presentation as "the last and greatest tech innovation of our lifetimes," a once-in-a-generation shift on the scale of the internet or electricity, and one that may not be matched again for decades. If that's true, Altucher argues, then the window to be early to it is singular. This isn't the kind of opportunity that comes around regularly, in his framing. It's the defining one, and the person positioned to capture it is the one who has spent a career learning how to take over the industries that matter most. Why the Stakes Are Higher This Time The combination, Altucher argues, is what makes this move stand apart from everything Musk has done before: the biggest prize of his career, arriving at what may be the most important technological turning point of the era. For an investor, he contends, that's precisely why it deserves more scrutiny than a typical Musk headline, not less. Past Musk shifts, he notes, rewarded the people who understood them early and punished the skepticism of those who waited. If this one really is the largest of them all, Altucher argues, then the cost of dismissing it, and the reward for grasping it early, are both proportionally greater. The Company at the Center Where this lands, for Altucher, is the same place his analysis keeps leading. In the presentation, he ties the move to a single small, publicly traded company he believes is essential to how Musk pulls it off, one he declines to name, describing it only as the overlooked piece the entire plan depends on. That company, he argues, is the most direct way to understand what a career-defining move by Musk could mean in practical terms. As always, he notes, investing carries risk, and no one should invest more than they can afford to lose. But the framing, he argues, is what investors should sit with: the possibility that this is the biggest thing Musk ever does. About This Presentation Altucher's presentation is free and available on demand. In it, he explains why he believes Musk's AI move may be the culmination of his career, why the tech makes the moment unusually significant, and how he would position for it.
