From Spanish markets to tapas Sundays, the fourth edition of ESDS returns with a showcase of events and promotions from over 40 Spanish food and beverage partners in Singapore

Our Little Red Dot once again plays host to the fourth edition of Eat Spain Drink Spain (ESDS), the largest fiesta of Spanish gastronomy in Singapore, with more than 40 mouthwatering events and promotions islandwide from 1 to 15 September 2026. Rediscover this land of taste across a myriad of venues, from restaurants and grocers to beloved brands, including over 40 local importers, distributors, restaurants and retailers, all coming together to showcase the best of Spain – from gourmet foods to exceptional wines.

Eat Spain Drink Spain 2026

In addition to these exciting events, the campaign also celebrates the conferment of the coveted "Restaurants from Spain" (RFS) certification of 15 restaurants, as well as the "Colmados from Spain" (CFS) certification awarded to 2 grocers in Singapore. These global certification programs from Spain are the hallmark of authentic cuisine and produce that guarantee the quality standards of these establishments – recognising them as excellent examples of the shared desire to offer Spain on a plate around the world.

RFS, a certification that is renewed biannually, recognises and establishes quality standards and criteria for the consumer who is looking for quality Spanish cuisine. The restaurant's team also receives specialised training in both gastronomy and Spanish wines, and facilitates access to a greater number of suppliers of Spanish products. Meanwhile, CFS recognises and supports exemplary food and wine stores around the globe focused on authentic products from Spain. The idea behind this initiative is to provide the consumer with high standards and criteria to find the real experience when looking for authentic Spanish products.

ESDS 2026 will also showcase a stellar line-up of 23 registered food and beverage partners from Spain and Singapore.

Events that Celebrate Spanish Gastronomy

From now through the run of Eat Spain Drink Spain 2026 and beyond, an exciting lineup of events awaits islandwide. Here are the key highlights not to be missed:

The grazing station opens with green olives in the white bean salad, while the Josper grill turns out Chicken Marbella braised with olives, prunes and capers, and a Frittata starring Castelvetrano olives with Manchego. Even the salmon is finished with Kalamata olives and capers. ESDS welcomes Amor, which newly joins this celebration of Spanish gastronomy with two exclusive menus: a 3-course set lunch and a 5-course set dinner. Curated by Head Chef Wang and featuring Spanish produce and wines from Ecolah and Ewineasia, the menu seamlessly blends Spanish classics with modern interpretations of Spanish cuisine.

Savour the textures of tapas Lacon Gallego, where the traditional Spanish dish of cured pork shoulder, boiled potatoes, olive oil and paprika is elevated with premium touches of Ibérico roasted ham and smoked potato foam. Also on the dinner menu is Chef Wang's iconic Happy Eggggg, a 65°C onsen egg with pumpkin purée, truffle sabayon, and jamón in a martini glass. Don't miss the Wagyu Short Rib, grilled over charcoal à la Catalan style, and paired with a tangy sofrito and artichoke purée. This September, Esquina joins the island-wide ESDS celebration with the launch of its Spanish Bluefin Tuna Specials. The modern Spanish tapas bar honours Spain's rich gastronomic heritage with a menu built entirely around pristine bluefin and yellowfin tuna sustainably sourced from the storied fishing coasts of Cádiz. Guests can savour the tradition of ronqueo — the age-old Andalusian art of hand-butchering tuna — from the smoky bite of the Tuna Gilda Pintxo and the delicate Chutoro Tartlet with ikura and piparras chili, to a refreshing Tuna Tartar paired with apple & celery sorbet and mentaiko salad, and a Cádiz-steyle Salmorejo finished with mojama-cured yellowfin tuna loin and salted egg fish skin. 4. A Taste of Spain at Noa

La Barra de Carlitos takes us to Galicia, the lush, windswept region in Spain's northwest corner this ESDS. Bordered by the Atlantic and steeped in Celtic heritage, Galicia is renowned for its exceptional seafood, hearty stews, and distinctive local ingredients like padrón peppers, albariño wine, and Marcona almonds, flavours shaped by the sea and centuries of tradition. For this edition of La Barra de Carlitos, the team will bring Galicia to life through a lively evening of Galician tapas, regional wines, Estrella Galicia and traditional drinks, alongside live music by Alberto Marín and Carlos Sendrós, a traditional Queimada punch bowl, and lucky draw surprises throughout the night, for an evening full of Spanish spirit. A ticket to this event priced at $38 per person includes a Tapas Bundle and a drink.

The Tapas Bundle brings together three Galician staples: Empanada Gallega, filled with confit tuna belly, red bell pepper sofrito, and piparras; Chorizo al Albariño, chorizo simmered in albariño white wine and served with sourdough; and Caldeirada, a fisherman's stew of monkfish, padrón peppers, and ajada.

Go further into Galician tradition with the à la carte menu, which features Croquetas de Centollo with spider crab and lobster bechamel, blistered Pimientos de Padrón, and crispy Puntillitas de Chipirón with squid ink aioli and smoked paprika. Pulpo a Feira showcases tender Spanish octopus dressed in extra virgin olive oil and smoked paprika, a Galician classic, while Lacón con Grelos offers cured and poached pork shoulder with turnip greens and stewed potatoes. For ESDS 2026, Binomio Restaurante presents Kaixō, an exclusive afternoon of Spanish tapas, free-flow premium sparkling wine, and captivating live performances. 11. Spanish Cooking Class at Huber's Butchery

Gather at Huber's Butchery for a special cooking class inspired by the iconic flavours of Spain, powered by premium Spanish produce. In this live cooking demonstration led by Chef Clement, guests can experience Spanish gastronomy up close with this front-row view of his techniques, practical cooking tips, and delectable tastings of each dish as the class unfolds.

The menu opens with a chilled Melon & Cucumber Gazpacho, layered with anchovy paste, tomato jam, balsamic pearls and mint jelly alongside a thin crisp bread, before moving into Albóndigas en Salsa de Almendras — tender Spanish meatballs simmered in a creamy almond sauce. The centrepiece is an Arroz Negro, a squid ink paella crowned with crispy seafood and allioli, and the class closes on a sweet note with Quesada Pasiega, a ricotta cheese pudding served with fresh berries and honeycomb.

This cooking class is exclusive to Spanish Community members, priced at $60 per pax, with a maximum of 2 sign-ups per membership card. A follow-up class on 26 September will be open to the public for Huber's Butchery members.

Step into Olivia Restaurant & Lounge to experience the flavours and traditions of Spain through this special brunch. The Olivia Table is a multi-course menu that celebrates Spain's culinary heritage, weaving together time-honoured traditions, distinctive ingredients, and Olivia's distinct contemporary approach to Spanish cuisine.

Highlights include the Martini Omelette with Caviar, a modern take on tortilla de patatas inspired by Ferran Adrià, alongside Jamón Ibérico and Pan con Tomate, two Spanish staples. The Bomba reimagines the Barcelona potato-and-meat tapas classic with squid ink potato dough and spiced beef, while Octopus Carpaccio is a nod to Galicia's Pulpo a Feira that's often seen at community festivals.

"Eat Spain Drink Spain" (ESDS) is proudly organised by the Spain Trade and Investment (ICEX) via the Economic and Commercial Office of the Embassy of Spain in Singapore, and Alimentos de España as part of the #SpainFoodNation campaign. It's an invitation to rediscover this land of taste across a myriad of venues, from restaurants and grocers to beloved brands that include local importers, distributors, restaurants and retailers; all coming together to showcase the best of Spain – from gourmet foods to exceptional wines. This flavourful fiesta of Spanish gastronomy, now in its fourth edition, is the largest such event in Singapore, with more than 30 mouthwatering events and promotions islandwide this year. The ESDS 2026 campaign also celebrates the conferment of the coveted "Restaurants from Spain" (RFS) certification of 15 restaurants here, as well as the "Colmados from Spain" (CFS) certification awarded to 2 Singapore grocers.

About Restaurants from Spain (RFS)

The "Restaurants from Spain" certificate is an instrument for the support and recognition of restaurant initiatives that are focused on Spanish cuisine and, by extension, the Spanish culture, guaranteeing the level of quality of these establishments. It recognizes and establishes quality standards and criteria for the consumer who is looking for quality Spanish cuisine, as well as models that can be followed by restaurateurs who may wish to offer Spanish cuisine in other parts of the world. All the restaurants that have the "Restaurants from Spain" certificate will share a feeling of Spanish gastronomy based on genuine roots, ingredients, recipes, and quality.

Awarded following a stringent selection process by a joint committee composed of official institutions and sectoral associations, chaired by ICEX Spain Trade and Investment, strongly linked to gastronomy such as the Royal Academy of Gastronomy, the Ministry of Agriculture, the Regulatory Council for Jérez-Xérès-Sherry Wines D.O.P., INTERPORC, ASTUREX, the Spanish Wine Federation, Spanish Olive Oils Interprofessional and the REPSOL Guide, the certificate will distinguish those establishments that outside Spain offer their diners not only Spanish products but also authentic quality Spanish cuisine, with a unique and differentiated image.

The certification, which will be renewed biannually, will have a direct and immediate impact on the HORECA channel, whose activity has been severely affected by the pandemic, by promoting greater knowledge of the restaurant in the country, boosting its occupation, and the dissemination of authentic quality Spanish cuisine.

Besides the certification, the restaurant's team will receive specialized training in both gastronomy and Spanish wines, thus being able to expand the Spanish culinary offer available on the menu. In parallel, the certificate will facilitate access to the restaurant, and therefore to the market, to a greater number of suppliers of Spanish products, which will boost the presence of Spanish food and wine around the world.

About Colmados from Spain (CFS)

Colmados from Spain Certification Program recognizes and supports food and wine stores around the globe focused on authentic products from Spain that guarantee the quality standards and origin of these products. The idea behind this initiative is to provide the consumer with high standards and criteria to find the real experience when looking for authentic Spanish products. These food and wine stores are excellent examples to other businesses that wish to offer Spanish gastronomy tradition around the world.
