But some of the key ingredients found in most commercially available formulations of the product (like abrasives, which remove plaque and stains on our teeth) make toothpaste a pretty handy cleaning agent. Scratches on your mobile phone screen? Crayon on your wall? Carpet stains? Silver jewellery in need of polishing?
