Singapore’s Foreign Minister Vivian Balakrishnan has just wrapped up a rare visit to North Korea, his first since the historic Trump-Kim summit in Singapore back in 2018.

This time, the stakes feel very different.

The visit comes amid fresh missile tests by Pyongyang, rising tensions on the Korean peninsula, and growing uncertainty across the world stage.
